This policy explains how construction-software.co (“we”, “us”) handles personal data when you use this website. You can browse the directory without an account.
Who is responsible
We are the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at contact@construction-software.co.
What we collect
- Tool submissions. If you use the Submit a tool form, we receive the software name, category, website and description, plus your email address and whether you work for the company, if you provide them.
- Messages. If you email us, we receive your address and whatever you write.
- Analytics. If you allow analytics, we receive information about how the site is used, such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location.
- Technical logs. Our hosting provider processes technical data, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To review submissions and answer you. This is in our legitimate interest in keeping the directory accurate, or it is a step you asked us to take.
- To understand how the site is used. We do this only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To run and secure the site. This is in our legitimate interest in keeping the service available and safe.
We do not sell your personal data.
Cookies and similar technologies
Necessary storage is always on. Analytics and marketing stay off until you allow them. Google Tag Manager loads on every page and is set to “denied” by default. While it is denied, no analytics or advertising cookies are set, but Google may receive basic data without cookies, such as that a page was loaded.

We do not run advertising today. If you allow marketing and we add it later, the same choice applies. You can change your choice here: .
Who receives data
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Google provides Tag Manager, and Analytics if you allow it. Our contact address also forwards to a Google email account.
- Namecheap provides our domain and forwards email sent to our contact address.
These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, such transfers rely on safeguards like the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Links to software vendors and review sites take you to their own websites, which have their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
We keep submissions and messages for as long as we need them to review your request and keep our records. We delete them when they are no longer needed. Cookie lifetimes are listed in the table above.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, to receive a copy of it, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use these rights, email contact@construction-software.co. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This site is meant for construction professionals and is not directed at children.
