Estimating Edge

The EDGE combines on-screen takeoff with trade-specific estimating. Estimators measure plans by mouse click, apply assemblies and conditions from material databases pre-loaded for their trade, and let Smart Labor technology adjust production rates as job conditions change. The software handles multiple bid scenarios and change orders, includes a proposal writer, and has trade tools such as Roof Perimeter wind-uplift calculations under ASCE 7-16 for roofing and UL design and steel databases for fireproofing.

Version 12 runs as a Windows desktop application, with estimate data stored on Estimating Edge's cloud server, the customer's network or locally. EDGE On Site, an iPad app that works offline, takes the estimate, drawings and change orders to the jobsite to track installed quantities and costs, and the On Time add-on records crew hours. Integrations include EagleView aerial measurements, Workpack AI takeoff, QXO material ordering, Duro-Last product pricing, and accounting systems such as Foundation, Viewpoint, Sage, CMiC, Mosaic and JD Edwards.

Estimating Edge is based in Boynton Beach, Florida, and has served estimators for more than 30 years. Foundation Software acquired the company in January 2022 and runs it as a subsidiary. Pricing is not published; prospects book a demo for a quote.
