What FastEST does

FastEST sells three trade-specific estimating applications. FastPIPE covers plumbing, HVAC piping, medical gas and industrial process piping, with a master catalog of more than 150,000 pipes, fittings, valves and hangers from manufacturers such as Nibco, Viega and Anvil, labor units based on MCAA and PHCC standards, and hundreds of built-in assemblies. FastDUCT estimates sheet metal and industrial ductwork using company construction standards or purchased duct, and FastWRAP estimates mechanical insulation.

Each product includes an on-screen digitizer for takeoff from PDF plans, customizable specs, cost codes and job templates, and labor and material reports. Bid summaries are produced in Microsoft Excel, with CSV and XML exports, and FastDUCT reports combine with FastPIPE. The software runs on Windows PCs and tablets, stand-alone or on a networked file server, and catalog pricing and software updates are delivered automatically over the internet.

FastEST was incorporated in 1994 and is a family- and employee-owned company headquartered in Wichita, Kansas. A license costs $4,995 per application with the first year of maintenance included, or $250 per month on a 36-month lease, with additional applications at lower prices and a 60-day money-back guarantee.
