01

Best for: Trade contractors that run their accounting in QuickBooks and need AIA billing and job costing.

02

What Knowify does

Knowify is built for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, concrete and other trade contractors doing project and service work. It covers estimates, proposals and contracts, change orders, RFIs and submittals, scheduling, time tracking, daily logs, subcontractor management, inventory and a client portal, plus service dispatch and invoicing through its Service Pro add-on.

Its financial side is the main draw: AIA-style progress billing, budgeting, job costing, prevailing wage, purchases and expenses, real-time WIP on higher plans and payment processing. Knowify is a QuickBooks partner with two-way sync for QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Payments, QuickBooks Time, QuickBooks Online Payroll and Intuit Enterprise Suite, and an AI connector lets users query job data from tools like ChatGPT and Claude.

Knowify was founded in 2016 in New York and raised a $5.45 million Series A in 2021 led by MassMutual Ventures and Companyon Ventures. Core costs $99 per month billed annually ($149 monthly) with one user and $29 per extra user, Advanced costs $329 per month billed annually with 10 users, and Enterprise is quote-based. Every plan has a 14-day free trial.
