Trimble Unity Construct & ProjectSight
Trimble's construction management software: Unity Construct for owners and ProjectSight for contractors.
Overview
Trimble offers two cloud construction management products. Trimble Unity Construct, formerly e-Builder, helps public and private owners plan, fund and deliver capital programs. Trimble ProjectSight helps general and specialty contractors manage drawings, RFIs, submittals, daily reports and change orders.
Best for: Owners running large capital programs (Unity Construct) and contractors that want document control and field management, including small teams on the free plan (ProjectSight).
What Trimble Unity Construct & ProjectSight does
Trimble Unity Construct is built for owners rather than contractors: public agencies, universities, healthcare systems, utilities and commercial owners running large capital programs. It covers capital planning and funding allocation, digital bid management, workflow automation, cost management, schedules, role-based document management, dashboards and asset handover. GIS project maps and the Trimble Unity Field app connect office and field data. It was founded as e-Builder in 1995 in Plantation, Florida, and Trimble acquired it in 2018 for $500 million. Pricing is by quote.
Trimble ProjectSight is built for contractors. It covers drawings with AI-assisted sheet processing, specifications, RFIs, submittals, punch lists, photos and daily reports. 360 Capture maps video walkthroughs to drawings, and Enterprise add-ons include BIM collaboration, budget and change order management. Mobile apps for iOS and Android come with every plan, and it integrates with Trimble Viewpoint Vista and Spectrum accounting. A free plan includes unlimited users, up to three projects and 2 GB of storage. The Go plan costs $29 per user per month billed annually, and Enterprise pricing is quoted.
Trimble was founded in 1978, is headquartered in Westminster, Colorado, and is listed on Nasdaq. The two products are sold separately. The ratings on this page come from separate review listings: G2 and Software Advice are for Unity Construct, and Capterra is for ProjectSight.
