Its API tracks tens of millions of live material, labor and equipment costs across more than 3,000 US counties and over 25,000 items and assemblies, and a widget lets developers embed the cost catalog with a single line of code.
1build's data also powers Handoff, the AI estimating and project management app for residential contractors built by the same founder, Dmitry Alexin; 1build's pricing page now redirects to Handoff's plans. Contractors looking for an end-user estimating tool are pointed to Handoff, while 1build serves platforms that need cost data.
1build went through Y Combinator's Winter 2020 batch and raised a $5.5 million seed round from Initialized Capital and a $14.5 million Series A led by Greycroft in 2021. API pricing is not published.
