Handoff

Handoff is built around an AI Teammate that drafts estimates from a conversation, voice transcription, uploaded files or site walkthroughs, pricing line items with localized material and labor costs from its 1build cost database and live Home Depot store pricing. Estimates become branded proposals with options and add-ons, and the Scale plan adds AI takeoffs that pull material and labor quantities from residential plans up to 7,000 sq ft.

Beyond estimating, Handoff covers lead and pipeline management, change orders, daily logs, scheduling, a client portal, a subcontractor portal, budget tracking, time tracking, invoicing, card and ACH payments and customer financing. It runs on the web, iOS and Android and integrates with QuickBooks Online, Google Calendar, MagicPlan and Zapier, with a REST API, webhooks and an MCP connection for AI assistants; a separate Supplier Platform delivers takeoffs and material lists to building material suppliers.

Handoff was founded in 2019 by CEO Dmitry Alexin as 1build, which remains its parent company and cost data business. In 2025 it raised a $5.8 million strategic round led by Nemetschek Group and Masco, adding to backing from Y Combinator, Initialized Capital and Greycroft. Plans are Flex at $119 per month (2 users), Pro at $239 per month (5 users) and Scale at $719 per month, all billed annually, with a 7-day free trial.
