Autodesk Forma
Autodesk's construction cloud, formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud, from design and bidding to the jobsite.
Overview
Autodesk Forma, formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), is Autodesk's cloud platform that connects document management, preconstruction, project management, cost, quality and safety for AEC teams.
Best for: Mid-size and large GCs and design teams already working in Revit, AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
What Autodesk Forma does
In March 2026 Autodesk renamed Autodesk Construction Cloud to Autodesk Forma, which it calls the AECO industry cloud. Autodesk Docs became Forma Data Management, the common data environment that sits under the rest of the platform. Existing customers kept their projects, licenses and integrations; the change was mainly in naming and packaging.
The core construction product is Forma Build. It covers RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, schedules, weekly work plans and closeout, plus budgets, contracts, change orders, pay applications and forecasting. Quality and safety tools handle inspections, issues and incidents, and AI features include Autodesk Assistant, Construction IQ risk insights and AutoSpecs for submittal logs. A lighter Forma Build Essentials bundle covers field work such as punch lists, daily reports, forms, photos and drawing markup.
Around Forma Build sit Takeoff, BIM coordination, BuildingConnected bid management and TradeTapp prequalification. Teams work in the browser and in the Forma mobile app for iOS and Android, which supports offline field workflows. Forma suits general contractors and design teams already using Revit, AutoCAD or Civil 3D. Autodesk has also agreed to acquire Rhumbix to add workforce and resource management.
