What BuildTools does
BuildTools is built around the budget of a custom home or remodel. A live, version-controlled budget updates variance and remaining balance as purchase orders and invoices come in, and it syncs with QuickBooks. Scheduling uses a Gantt chart with dependencies and a critical path, and schedules can be published as read-only views for subcontractors and clients.
Plans, specs, RFIs and contracts get inline PDF markup and version history, field photos are tagged to the right project and day, and selections let clients choose from allowance lists that feed change orders. The company now positions the product as AI-first: it drafts change orders, RFIs, scopes of work and client emails for review, and adds AI invoice processing and bid review.
