ClickUp
General work management platform that construction teams adapt for tasks, schedules and documents.
Overview
ClickUp is a general-purpose work management platform that construction firms use for task tracking, project schedules, documents and team chat, with AI built into every plan.
Best for: Office teams at construction firms that want a flexible, low-cost project tracker.
What ClickUp does
ClickUp is not built specifically for construction, but many builders and contractors use it to run office work and simple project tracking. Tasks can be viewed as lists, boards, calendars or Gantt charts, and teams add custom fields, forms, automations and dashboards to match their own process. Docs, whiteboards and chat keep project notes and conversations next to the work.
It lacks construction-specific tools such as RFIs, submittals, daily logs, takeoff or job costing, so firms usually pair it with accounting and field software or build those workflows themselves from templates. Time tracking is built in, and ClickUp connects to more than 200 apps.
Founded in 2017 and based in San Diego, ClickUp has raised about $535 million and was valued at $4 billion in its 2021 Series C. A Free Forever plan is available; paid plans start with Core at $9 per user per month billed yearly, followed by Business, MAX and Enterprise, and each paid plan includes a monthly pool of AI credits.
