Best for: Large contractors and owners delivering complex infrastructure and energy projects.

02

What InEight does

InEight targets complex, high-value work such as infrastructure, energy, mining and industrial projects. Its products cover estimating, planning and scheduling, cost and change control, contract management, document control, BIM models, progress tracking, compliance and completions, and they share data across the project lifecycle. Reporting runs on Connected Analytics, built on Microsoft Power BI.

The company traces its roots to Hard Dollar's estimating software from 1989. Kiewit acquired Hard Dollar, and its technology arm became InEight; later acquisitions added TeamBinder document management from QA Software and the VEO BIM platform from M-SIX. It has headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona, Melbourne and Amsterdam, and says it supports projects in more than 60 countries and over $1 trillion in capital projects.

Pricing is by quote and can be per user, revenue-based or project-based. Reviewers value central control of project data and an open API, but say the breadth of features takes time to learn.
