What ProjectManager does

ProjectManager lets teams plan work on Gantt charts with dependencies, milestones and critical path, or switch to list, board, sheet and calendar views. Resource management shows team availability and workload, while timesheets and budget tracking connect hours and costs to the plan. Dashboards and reports give portfolio-level status across projects.

The tool includes workflow automation, approval workflows, project version control and work breakdown structure planning, plus an AI Project Insights feature that generates project summaries and recommendations. Free iOS and Android companion apps support field updates, which the vendor pitches to construction crews. Integrations include Microsoft Teams, Slack, Jira, Azure DevOps, QuickBooks Online, Acumatica, Power BI, Excel, Trello and ChatGPT, with Zapier and an API for other tools.

ProjectManager.com, Inc. was founded in 2008 in New Zealand by Jason Westland and moved its headquarters to Austin, Texas in 2018; it raised a $3.5 million Series A in 2014.
