Sage Construction Management

Cloud construction management from Sage, formerly Corecon, connected to Sage and QuickBooks accounting.

01

Overview

Sage Construction Management, formerly Corecon, is a cloud platform for contractors and developers that covers leads and bids, estimating, project documentation and project financials, with links to Sage accounting.

Best for: Contractors already using Sage Intacct, Sage 100 or Sage 300 accounting.

02

What Sage Construction Management does

Sage bought Corecon Technologies in May 2023 and renamed the product Sage Construction Management. It covers preconstruction with lead and bid management and estimating built from scratch, spreadsheets or past estimates, then carries awarded figures into projects with fixed, cost-plus or unit-price contracts, job codes and budgets.

During delivery, teams handle RFIs, submittals, daily logs, punch lists, procurement, time tracking, scheduling and change orders, and share documents with markup. Its main draw is the connection to accounting: it integrates with Sage Intacct Construction, Sage 100 Contractor and Sage 300 CRE, as well as QuickBooks and Xero.

Corecon was founded in 1999 in California. Sage sells the product on a standard subscription rather than a percentage of construction volume, and quotes pricing on request. Reviewers note a steep learning curve and occasional bugs, but rate the vendor relationship and product direction well.
